Detectives say that Tavar Young, 23, and Dyqwhan Bowens, 19, a North Carolina resident who has been staying at 35 Snowden Ave., were charged with second-degree burglary and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, both felonies.
They were accused of breaking into the home Monday morning through an unlocked window because a witness called 911 after having seen two men suspiciously walking out with a flatscreen TV and another unknown object.
Detective Sullivan said later that afternoon, investigators learned that two men had walked into 35 Snowden Ave. with a TV covered by a tarp. Officers tracked them to a sixth-floor apartment then found the 37-inch TV, a laptop, a cell phone and two bracelets that were taken from the Ann Street residence.
