Mt. Vernon Man Arrested in Stun-Gun Robbery

Greenburgh police have arrested a Mount Vernon man accused of robbing a convenience store with a stun gun and knife.

Police responded to a report of a robbery at 5:15 a.m. Saturday at the Greenburgh 7-Eleven, 763 S. Central Park Ave. Police said the clerk said the robber threatened him with a knife and stun gun and demanded money. The robber then fled with about $350, Sgt. Kobie Powell said.

Police found the suspect, Harry Walker of 535 Locust Ave., Mount Vernon, by Saturday afternoon, Powell said. Walker, 43, was charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree menacing.

It was not clear if a stun gun was used.

Walker was arraigned and remanded to the Westchester County jail in Valhalla.
