Drug Suspect Jumps From Second Floor Then Arrested

Peekskill - Police said today that Michael Jackson, 22, of the Bronx is being held at the Peekskill police station because he faces a felony assault charge after he leaped from a second-story roof in an attempt to flee police. He then intentionally knocked over a Westchester County police officer after city and county police raided a Crompond Road apartment.
Jackson was the only person in the apartment when he climbed out onto a second-story roof then jumped off it. Police then say that he was running down a steep hill toward a Westchester County K-9 officer knocked the officer over and caused him several injuries.
Police charged Jackson with second-degree assault, a felony, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanors.
