Brentwood Mother Arrested for DWI With 3 Kids in SUV

Ana Rios of Brentwood was arrested for DWI after she crashed her SUV into two parked vehicles in Central Islip and then fled the scene of the accident early Wednesday morning,Suffolk County police said.
She was driving westbound on Cypress St. when she struck a parked pickup truck, then careened across the street and then struck another parked vehicle at 4:30 a.m., police said.
A Suffolk County deputy sheriff pulled her over after he noticed front-end damage to her SUV. The deputy noticed Rios' 7-year-old daughter, 3-year-old son and 2-month-old son inside the vehicle. The children were then taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore for observation.
Police charged the 30-year-old with endangering the welfare of a child and driving while intoxicated with a child in the car, a felony under Leandra's Law.
She will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Central Islip.
