Teen Arrested For Theft at Walmart

A Brooklyn teenager was arrested Friday for stealing items from a Valley Stream Walmart.

Jose Colon, 16, was perusing the shelves at Walmart located on Green Acres Rd. The Nassau County Police Department Fifth Squad detectives said Colon removed portable hard drives from their packaging and then put them in his pockets. He also took some music CDs.

Colon got to the front of the store but was stopped in its vestibule. He pulled out a knife from his waistband then threatened to stab surrounding customers and employees. He fled the scene but he returned and was arrested by Fifth Squad detectives.

Colon is charged with first-degree robbery.
