Mahopac Man Arrested for Burglary

Mahopac - Michael Fregosi, 27, of Mahopac was arrested Thursday after he got his car stuck on another person's property on Fassitt Road, then damaged the property while trying to free his vehicle.
Carmel Chief Michael Johnson said today he was later identified as a suspect in a burglary and a stolen credit cards case.
Officer Stephen McCabe took Fregosi into custody and charged him with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, and trespass, a violation.
After further investigation at the station, Detective Joseph LoPiccolo pointed to Fregosi as a suspect in a burglary and the possible use of stolen credit cards, Johnson said.
Fregosi was then charged with second-degree burglary, two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, felonies, and petty larceny, a misdemeanor.
He was sent to the county jail in lieu of $50,000 bail and is due in Town Court on Aug. 10.
